Space and the Broomhouse Hub

The new community hub that has emerged out of the former Broomhouse Centre is now open! It will be known as the ‘Broomhouse Hub’. But it’s not our only exciting news.

From September, the charity that manages and runs the Broomhouse Hub will be known as ‘Space’.

‘Space’ has been inspired by our conversations with all of you. This is underpinned by our vision at Space, and the new Broomhouse Hub

(which is to nurture, support and inspire, so that lives are fuller, potential is fulfilled and community connections flourish.)

The Beacon Club offers a safe space for elderly people with Dementia to come together and be supported. Through Vintage Vibes, in partnership with LifeCare, we support isolated people over 60 with one to one companionship. We help Adult Carers, through a support group or one to one. Our Space for Wellbeing is a friendly and relaxed peer support group.

Book us for your next event, conference, birthday party or meeting – we have a wonderful Space for Hospitality and Events. We have a Space for Co-working, with hot desks available by the hour, the day or all year around, these might be for a start-up business, a social enterprise, a statutory agency or charity.

Space Kitchen Café is open every day, Monday to Friday; try our delicious, freshly cooked food! If you’d like to develop life and social skills in a supportive catering environment, Space Kitchen Training could be for you. Space Kitchen Catering is our Social Enterprise; book us now for your next event or outside catering.

There is space for Young Carers and Young Adult Carers. There is Space for Youth Befriending, in partnership with Big Hearts, for young people in kinship care. On a Friday night we have a Youth Drop in session for local young people. Check out weekly Bookbug for families, and a new Space for mums.
