Role: Partnership Manager (Thrive South West Edinburgh Welcome Team)

Hours: 11 hours per week (flexibility of working pattern to be discussed)

Salary: £25,142 per annum pro-rata

PVG: This post requires membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme

We are a community organisation supporting local people and families in South West Edinburgh, with additional services stretching city-wide.

Space’s aim of improving the mental health of support of people in South West Edinburgh is central to our involvement in the Edinburgh Thrive project. Our peer support workers draw on their lived experience of mental health challenges to play a central role in the planning and provision of quality, recovery-focused support to people who access the South West Thrive Welcome Team service.

Thrive Edinburgh is an innovative programme improving the mental health and wellbeing of all citizens across Edinburgh. The South West Thrive Welcome Team brings together a collaboration of partner organisations to improve the mental health and wellbeing of the people in South West Edinburgh, to enable them to live well and fulfill their potential. This partnership is between Space & Broomhouse Hub, SAMH and the Edinburgh Health & Social Care Partnership, working under NHS governance.

The Role

  • To manage Space’s role in the Thrive South West Welcome Team programme
  • To coordinate and support up to three part-time Thrive Peer Support Workers - also employed by Space;
  • To collaborate with partners (SAMH & NHS) to review, design and implement the service operating procedures ensuring lived experience of mental health is at the core of service development and planning;
  • To engage with colleagues, local community groups, third sector and statutory partners to raise the profile of the South West Thrive Welcome Team, (in conjunction with the South West Edinburgh Thrive Coordinator and SAMH Thrive Manager)
  • To understand, advocate and promote the values of peer work and mental health recovery principles.
