'I chose to raise money to support Space and Broomhouse Hub as I have personal connection to the charity and used to volunteer with them as a youth befriender. The charity is an incredible community organisation that supports local people and families... They offer a fantastic range of services for the community' Fiona Kirkwood, Sep. 2021

What you can do to fundraise for the Hub.

Organise your own event. One way to help us is by organising a fundraising event, this doesn’t have to involve jumping out of a plane or swimming the Forth! You can be as creative as you like! a bake sale; a quiz night; a charity football match; an epic run or cycle or a coffee morning. It will really make a difference.

1. Dress Up - Organise a non-uniform or dress down day at your school or workplace, or take it further and get people to come in costume! Ask everyone for a small donation to take part. 2. Selling - Jumble sales and car boots are a good option, a bake-off or a sale of home-made crafts. Selling items or unwanted gifts gives you the opportunity to get rid of things you no longer need. 3. Quizzes - Hold a quiz, either general knowledge or you can choose another popular theme in your social circle. You can even hold this event in person or virtually online. 4. Sponsored Something - If you are interested in getting fit and healthy then a sponsored run, walk or cycle might be just the trick. You can pick anything challenging to sponsor, from shaving your head to sitting in a bath of beans. 5. Sports - organise a sports match or tournament. Who will emerge victorious or be browned champion? 6. Team exercise - Karaoke competition, sponsored silence, craft challenge. Get the team involved and win the bragging rights!
