About The Beacon Club
The Beacon Club is an enriching day service for people with dementia and mild to moderate cognitive impairment.
Groups are kept small with only 10 people per day, this ensures we can offer the highest level of interaction with members and also reduce anxiety that can come from being in a busy environment.
The Beacon Club members benefit from stimulating activities, conversation and games. We also provide lunch. Whilst a day at the club is great for our members it also provides their carers with several hours of respite without worrying about the person they care for.
The Role
We are looking for someone to join our Beacon Club team, offering support during periods of staff holidays and training so that the club can run consistently throughout the year.
Key tasks will include planning and running daily activities, serving lunch, escorting members to the bathroom and travelling on a mini bus to collect members from their homes and return them home safely once the club has finished.
We anticipate we will need between 15-30 days of cover over the year. Shifts are 7.5hrs long 8.30am – 4pm or 9am – 4.30pm.
