Statement from Robert Peacock, Chair of the board of Trustees.
We are delighted to announce that Neil Hay will be joining Space and Broomhouse Hub as our new Chief Executive, taking the reigns from Bridie Ashrowan, who after 5 incredible years, is moving to take on the role of Chief Executive at EVOC.
Neil comes to us from Cyrenians where he has been Head of Enterprise since 2016. Neil speaks very passionately about his community focus and of his desire to both lead and learn from the team. We think he will be an excellent Chief Executive for us and follow on from Bridie’s good work, to help Space continue to develop and grow.
Neil will officially take up the role from mid-April but is doing a phased handover with Bridie in the coming weeks.
The team, trustees and volunteers at Space wish Bridie the best of luck on her new role at EVOC and look forward to welcoming her back as a guest, for a cup of tea, as soon as our cafe reopens.
