Run annually by the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations (SCVO), the Scottish Charity Awards celebrate the best of Scotland’s voluntary sector.

This year’s shortlist includes 45 individuals and organisations from charities and voluntary groups across the country.

While a judging panel will determine the winners under eight distinct categories, members of the public can have their say by voting for their favourite overall entry in the People’s Choice Award, sponsored by the Charities Aid Foundation.

Space and the Broomhouse Hub has been recognised as a finalist in the Celebrating Communities and Leading Light category.

The nominations are down to the support of local people, partner organisations, funders, staff, Trustees and volunteers of Space. Over the last 18 months, with the building and opening of a new community hub, and also the development of Broomhouse Home Farm on what was previously scrub land, local folk are at the heart of the change. Space is also a strong advocate for the structural changes that will address poverty in South West Edinburgh.

Support Space and the Broomhouse Hub with your vote.

Voting closes at 5pm on Friday 4 September 2020.
