Space are delighted to be working in partnership with VOCAL on a pilot project to deliver the Young Carers Time to Live Programme in Edinburgh.
Young Carers supported by Space and the Broomhouse Hub, who are in need of a break from their caring role, can apply to the Young Carers Time to Live Programme.
Applications can be made from young carers aged 5-19 years, for a small grant to help towards taking a break. We know that getting out and about is hard at the moment, so a day trip may not be possible; the grant can be used towards lots of other things that might help get a break at home, such as:
- exercise equipment
- bicycle & helmet
- musical instrument
- online subscription/membership
- outdoor/gardening equipment
- art/craft supplies
- lessons to up your skills in a hobby
- complimentary therapy/spa
- bus/rail pass
- theme park ticket
- cleaning/cooking/dog walking service
