Young Carers Group Volunteer

We’re looking for volunteers to help support our dedicated Young Carers Group!

The purpose of this volunteer role is to help support our Young Carers Project team in delivering a programme of exciting youth work activities. Groups take place between 5pm and 8pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays and activities take place both in and outside of The Hub, including trips to great places like Gravity trampoline park. As a volunteer you will be tasked with supervising and engaging with young people to ensure everyone is having a great time. For activities that take place in The Hub, helping to set up ahead of time and cleaning up any materials at the end of the session will also be required.

We support Young Carers by ensuring they are at the centre of their own planning, so no two sessions are exactly the same! Our Young Carers are young people aged between 5 and 17 who act in a supportive role to a family member or loved one who, due to illness, disability, a mental health problem or an addiction, cannot cope without their support. This project is designed to give them a much-needed safe space within their own community to relax and enjoy themselves.

We are looking for volunteers for the following sessions:

Monday Group (5-10 year olds): 1 Volunteer

Tuesday Group (10-12 year olds): 2 Volunteers
